About the Event

Topic: Mass Engineered Timber (MET) Design Considerations + Feature Projects

Synopsis

Mass Engineered Timber (MET) is a sustainable, high-strength structural building material. While MET is being praised for its sustainability and reduced carbon footprint, challenges include navigating the supply chain, higher upfront costs and coordination compared to conventional materials, and the need for specialized knowledge in design and construction.

In this sharing session, Tim will be sharing his knowledge on the design considerations of using MET by using real project case studies.

About Tim

Tim is a Chartered Structural Engineer with over 10 years of engineering experience, having worked in both Australia and Canada. He has worked on a range of building structures across a variety of sectors including residential, commercial, government and defence, with both design and construction experience through office and site involvement.
